Special Edition Book Set

First of the Projects from my final year of Middlesex University. I chose Elizabeth Gaskell's Ruth, and North and South to design. I settled on a minimalist approach to the design outcome, with a mostly muted colour palette that allowed the orange to stand out.

The silhouettes on the covers that are coloured represent the women or men, and their role in the story. On the slip-case each side is of the location based on the books: North and South's factories, and the mountains that Ruth visited.
